I figured it's about time that I update this thing. So, let me update you about what's happened since that last post. I still work at Kmart. However, they actually promoted me. I never would have guessed it to happen, even since I was the one asking for the promotion. So, I'm a key carrier for the gas station. (which means I can open/close the gas station by myself). Yeah, alarm code and safe code too. It's pretty awesome. They were supposed to fit in my training for the service desk, seeing as I asked for that too (wow..a little too much to ask for huh? spoiled). But, since it took almost a month and a half to get my background check to come in, it maybe, quite possibly won't be until winter break...at the earliest. So, in summary, I went from lowest level associate, a level 1 cashier, to a level 4, which is only a step below from management. Awesome. It only took me 5 years! Ever since my fall out with David, my life actually has been better. I've picked up photography more avidly. I like to play with paint (I'll upload those pics later). And I just recently set up my sowing machine that my parents gave me about 3-4 years ago. I've joined sigma alpha lambda, an honor fraternity. I'm pretty much looking for any way to beef up my grad school app. I just need to join student affiliate of apa and psi chi. And maybe a few other things as well. So, I'm still a psychology major, and loving it. It's the middle of the fifth week now, and my classes aren't that bad. I'm taking intro to experimental psychology, cognitive processes, sensation and perception, and spanish 201. I'm taking spanish cr/ncr option. And I'm glad at that since the instructor we have this time doesn't really teach us anything. Oh, I have tendonitis in both hands and wrists. I'm pretty sure though that at least in my left hand it has turned to carpal tunnel. I sometimes have to soak my hand in warm water just to regain some function of it for the next day. The same with my right foot. I messed it up in a pot hole about a month ago trying to change the gas price sign. (only to find out two weeks ago I tore all of the tendons and ligaments). So, yes, I have to limp around campus, probably throughout the remainder of the semester. Well, I guess that's it for now. write later. PS. New cell number...330-327-0685. ( I think that's it?) |
